Wintery Whites

Netting and Feathers from David Sheilds (via Coco+Kelley)

Sweet Details from Corrie Bond (via Coco+Kelley)

When I saw the above pictures posted here at Coco+Kelley on Tuesday, it immediately reaffirmed my purchase of this coat last weekend.

Double-Cloth Madeline Coat in Sea Salt

I was having some doubts about it, but then I remembered how much I love a creamy white ensemble during the dark winter months!

I love your coat! I have a bone colored jacket that I wear in Fall and Spring - but nothing warm enough for Winter. There is something kind of luxurious about a white coat in Winter. Seems like something people who don't have to worry about money would buy (maybe because they don't worry about dirty slush stains when they can just buy a new coat every time the ruin one?

Anyway - that one is very lovely.

I was contemplating getting this very same coat, also in white. it is gorgeous. But I'm torn because I have a baby with reflux and black lab who likes to lay on my coats...
Also, so glad your lil baby is feeling better!

Jozette - You? Fat? HA! I've seen pictures and you are one foxy little lady (emphasis on the little). Besides, won't we all be a little fat come tomorrow evening?

Kate - Maybe that's why I bought it, because I am trying to fool myself into thinking that I don't have to worry about money! (This coming from someone who was unemployed for the past 3 months). It REEEAAALLLY helps when your husband works at J. Crew and that spouses get the employees discount!

Tina - Get it! Get it! I was worried about keeping it clean, too, but I was informed that baby wipes work wonders on wool coats and especially pretty white ones! I'm sure you've got plenty of those laying around!

Valerie - Thanks for stopping by! Aren't those feathers incredible! Totally dreamy.

Cassandra! - You always have such inspiring pictures! And if you say I won't regret it, then I totally trust you!

Gorgeous! I was considering a white one this year, too, but went with boring black. Now I'm regretting it!
